Hi,

I have a lamona oven. It starts to trip in a few minutes after I switch it on.. It gets heated up though.

I did a continuity test on the thermostat and I hear it beeping even when the knob is at 0.

Does that mean the thermostat is faulty? Would there be anything else I should test before I order a new thermostat component?

Thanks for your time!

Regards,
Sud

To add- I did a continuity check on both the top and bottom heating elements. It seems fine.

checking continuity doesn't really help with earth leakage. You need to do proper IR tests

Another observation-

The oven is hot even when the temperature is set to 0 and I change the setting to any mode, i.e. grill or fan.

Would this point that there is an issue with the thermostat and that could be causing the rcd tripping?
