greetings. I have an old house but on the ground floor where I want to replace the carpet with old floor boards I have a concrete fllor. the fllor has been down for many years. I have bought some 8" re cut joists that are very nice and old looking. What is the best way for me to continue? I have bought some 12mm ply to lay first/screw to concrete then nail the 8" boards to the ply. I have since been told that I can lay the 8" planks straight on to the concrete with high strength evostick?? Is this correct. It would help a great deal if so as it would reduce the step into the room by 12mm. Thanks so much if anyone has the time to answer, it would be really appreciated.
