Hi anyone have any experience of repainting after brine (salty water) damage?
Had the brine tank on a water softener crack a week ago now replaced under warranty .
The manufacturers have agreed to redecoration costs I've had dehumidifier and fan blowing at it since shortly after Mrs E found leak.
Pictures attached clearly shows its a bit more than just water damage.

Stainblock like zinsser BIN.

Plasterboard or older lath and plaster ceiling?
Those cracks need investigation. Plaster coming away from plasterboard?
Could be lath and plaster becoming degraded?

Thanks for your reply
Ceiling around 20 years old 1/2 in plaster board bonded and skimmed which probably makes the cracks a bit more disturbing lol.
It's actually still drying out a week later must be effecti of the salt .

Boards normally crack in a straight line along board joints.

Open window and get a summer fan blowing to keep the air movement to help dry it out
