Re pointing brickwork

I found a few cracks on the side of my house I would like to point up, however i'm not sure which product to choose from since Lafarge do a range of ready mixed bags ( Mastercrete: Mortar Mix ect

The worry is i'm not sure if the house was built with lime mortar or not, the house was built in 1959 and is double brick in Cheshire. What i don't want to do is cause damage to bricks by using the wrong mortar.

Unlikely to be a lime mortar if built in 1959.
You could use a 1/1/6 OPC/Lime/Building Sand mix.
