We bought our house last year and renovated the building. Outside is a long Tarmac drive. It's not in great condition - there are crumbled edges, patchwork finish in places and the whole thing generally looks tired. A good wash has made it look reasonable but really, it could do with being redone.
What are your opinions on having repairs and a new top coat done rather than a complete removal of the current drive and relaying new foundations and surface? Would repairs and a new surface look as good as new? It just seems a shame to have to redo the whole lot when the actual foundations appear to be quite good and cost wise, it's a long drive,
