Hi, I have a Vokera Eclipse boiler. The central heating works fine but the water at the tap is constantly tepid at best. I have checked the cold water flow and this is set at minimum so that cannot be the problem. The boiler seems to reach max temperature (95 degrees) but this is not being drawn to the taps. Also the rads do not reheat for quite sometime after recahing max temp. Is this related to the thrmostatic valve some how? I would welcome any advice how to resolve this problem. Many thanks

When the heating system is cold, run a hot tap - does the boiler fire up?

If the boiler fires up - do you have hot water at tap?

If you do not have hot water at tap - feel the flow pipe to the radiators where it leaves the boiler - is the flow pipe hot?

Thanks Griggs. The boiler fires up when tap is run and the water is warm to begin with and then turns colder. The water never gets hot. The flow pipe is also warm. I recently had my plumber replace the open circuit on the inlet sensor. This resolved having no central heating (to a degree) but water not hot since, tepid at best. Regards Grant
