Jokes aside, I am looking for a close-coupled WC that is well-built and reliable.

I have two Armitage Shanks Sandringham 21's and like them, but the flush mechanism is flawed and they quickly start dribbling into the pan (don't we all at that age!).

They were around the £100 mark.
What other well-known brands of WC are reliable?

RAK Tonique comes recommended: are they as good as the reviews suggest? Liked by installers and users alike?

Sounds like you need a syphon flush mechanism.

wobs: Yeah. They're a PIA.

gasman: Thanks! I had that one shortlisted, along with a rimless one that is a smidge taller - getting on a bit now! Although that is quite a bit more expensive.
