I have a skoda octavia 2012. I've replaced the rear wiper and on attachment it doesn't seem to connect. I thought it was the plastic clips not being tight enough, so purchased new ones. It's still spraying inside. I've found this random black rubber band type thing come from the area. Not sure where it goes or what it does. But this could be why it's spraying inside? Bit stuck here.

Remove the wiper again, there must be a location for the seal. It looks as if that new seal was included in the packaging attached by a cable tie to the arm. Take some photos of the arm whilst removed and we may be able to spot where it goes.

This may give you an idea of what you are looking for. Lots of other vids on youtube.

The white plastic part in the first photo pushes on to the black connector pipe, i would guess the o ring sits on the black connector pipe but i cant quite remember.

In the photo with it all connected it actually has the o ring on it, but it still shoots out

I may be way, way off beam here but isn’t that O ring supposed to seal between the wiper moving shaft and the moulding it revolves in?
I know it’s a PITA but can you disconnect the complete arm and show us where the leak actually is?

Had something similar on my A3. I had to replace the motor. Does tge Skoda have tge same setup?

Next job was to sort out a water leak in the tailgate. No water in boot floor but every time I opened the tailgate I'd get a flood of water pi55 out of the tailgate trim and drip on me 'ead! On top of that, the wiper was playing up - intermittently stopping halfway through its travel and not parking properly when switched off. Took the tailgate trim off and it was obvious straight away what the problem was. On the A3 the washer water goes through the wiper motor and comes out through the wiper arm spindle where the jet is fitted. It had leaked internally causing the wiper to play up and water to leak into the tailgate. You can see the rust marks where water is coming out of numerous places on the motor. Going to order a new wiper motor when I get home.

I think it could go inside the white plastic clips as would prevent it from moving up and down on the black fitting. But not sure it would fit
