Hi, I've got a project on the go to refurbish an attic room including some exposed pitch pine purlins. They're in good condition but I'm looking for reccommendations for a stain or natural oil product that will enhance the grain and provide a nice natural finish without adding a sheen. The last time I did a project like this in a previous property, I used Cuprinol preservative woodstains which spread easily into the surface and gave a natural finish, but I think they stopped making them due to high VOC issues. I don't want to change the natural wood colour - just provide a good lustre that shows off the wood and is easy to apply. Any ideas?
