It doesn't show all your activity. Only new posts, ie, new topics, thanks, new images uploaded, maybe a few other things.

That's the problem - new posts aren't shown.

Go in to your settings, look at these options under
"Recent Activity Privacy:" you will need to check the boxes which you wish to apply.
Recent Activity Privacy:
Which of the following things do you want to have published about you in the recent activity feed?
Note that changing this setting will only affect future news feed items.

When I post a comment about a blog entry.
When I create a group.
When I join a group.
When I leave a group.
When I post a comment about a group.
When I post a comment about a group photo.
When I create a new album.
When I upload new photos.
When I post a comment about a photo.
When I tag a photo.

Most forums that I've used have a GD, or Off-topic, or Bar, or Chill area, where post activity isn't counted, as it adds nothing to the site as such, apart from a little light release from the grind of daily life. Maybe the answer is above? Maybe my suggestion is correct, I don't know TBH.
Its interesting to note that the Mareketplace no longer seems to exist any more!
