there is no recession it is all a myth.

in fact a lot of pessimists are using the recession myth as an excuse to be even more negative and miserable.

i am working for a couple and the husband has just been told he has no more work for the foreseeable future. he shrugged his shoulders, lit up a fag and said that he may as well resign himself to what thousands of others are doing at this moment.

it says it all.

no point, but get on with it.

building trade, as far as our little niche is concerned, is ok. no change from previous years.

got to say i've had as many enquiries as this time last year. people are still spending money.

look on the bbc news website. top story all about the recession. nothing about the high street sales being up. Im fed up to the back teeth with hearing robert pestons doom and gloom. a lot of this has been spurred on by the media undermining confidence and frightening joe public. If you didnt get the newspapers or watch the news would you think there was a recession, or would you be happy with fuel, heating and mortgages coming down?

maybe i always look at the glass half full

it seems to me that we as a public thrive on misfortune, misery, gloom and doom.

you only need to watch 60 seconds of eastenders to see what i mean!

my work oppo' is a pessimist through and through. and after a while it does start to get you down as well.

Work on your own like me, Nose, ignore papers, news, doom and gloom merchants and exist in splendid isolation...

Is something happening in the outside world, then????

Wilson's no longer P.M. and a tanner, a sixpence and a thruppenny bit aint worth tat.

Business is about the same for us too. Was a little bit slow on the run up to christmas, but seems to be picking up again as it usually does.

There are a hell of alot of local companies going bang though, but i think thats more to do with the banks pulling loans and stuff. It was probably inevitable they would go down the pan anyway, but were living on loans / huge overdrafts etc, which the banks are stopping.

Moderator 7,

is there a specific reason why the posts by myself and Sooey have been deleted?
Is there a reason why our questions haven't been answered?
Neither of us have been abusive to Noseall we merely stated that we took exception to his comment about people from Liverpool yet we get deleted and he gets edited.
Or are you, moderator 7, actually Noseall?
An answer to this post would at least be the polite thing to do don't you think?
