I have no electricity in my garage

I'd like to fit 1 or more inexpensive rechargeable lights with a pir so that when I open the garage door, the light comes on. Only has to be on for up to 10mins.

I've taken a look on ebay to keep the costs down and seen these. Not sure how many or how big they'd need to be.

There might be better solutions that those shown in these links

Link 3

Thank you

no 3 may have a chance at 400l is about 30w old fashioned bulb [old candle bulb ]

1 and 2 are even lower output
no2 claims up to 2 days on pir so may go flat even when not used and at 50l is only 4w in old money about an actual candle worth off light

You can get very inexpensive PIR lamps that take a AA or AAA batteries. Aldi and Lidl have them from time to time.

I have some that last around a month, being used every day. I have a stock of rechargeables and change them if they start to get dim.

In my shed I use their camping lanterns, with Alkaline batteries, and turn them on when needed. Shelf life, unused, is years and years.

For less than £20 option 3 is probably worth buying and using but obviously be aware that the battery life in the winter will be less.

Thank you to those who posted
I've ordered the 3rd item
As long as you are happy having to take it off the ceiling to recharge it. If you areent diligent, there will be times that you go to the garage and the battery is flat.
Personally i would have gone for a similar light with a solar cell, then its always ready to switch on.

I bought one of these in early Jan to put into my front porch (on the wall) as it’s dark when finding the key holes.
So far it’s very bright and works well although it switches off quite quickly once you go out of range of the sensor, in a porch it doesn’t make any difference.
It mounts on the wall just because I couldn’t be arsed to drill a new hole. There’s a mount that you screw to the wall and the light twists onto it so it’s easy to charge.

I’m happy enough to buy a second for under the stairs rather than hard wire anything.

This might be a better solution.
I've cancelled the order for no. 3 and ordered the one Tigercubrider recommended.
Many thanks
