Reclaimed roof tiles ok?

I have potentially been offered some used/reclaimed roof tiles, but am unsure whether they are suitable for my house/roof extension. I plan to use tiles for new roof as well as vertical hanging tiles (to cover Mick Tudor look).

Are roof tiles fairly standard?
Do these look useable? Would they be suitable?

Perfectly fine. Used reclaimed on mine. Allow a higher percentage of waste.

I would be cautious - and I say that because our "new" house was re-roofed using reclaimed tiles some 15 years ago. All of which have delaminated and are breaking up and now need replacing....

all slates and tiles have a finite life which will vary depending on where they have been and how they have weathered and without seeing them it would be impossible to say, but if they are delaminating then definitely no, if they have staining will you be happy with the mottled random appearance of the staining

I have seen some of the best known machine made clay tiles de-laminate in under ten years, (replaced under Guarantee)
In fact with in the last couple of weeks a roof of about 12 years old using a high end hand crafted tile fall apart. (to be replaced under guarantee)
so, reclaimed may or may not be ok for a reasonable length of time.
Usually though there will be signs of failure looming.
if you can afford new ..then do so.
