Recommend a Plumber?

Can anyone recommend a good reliable gas plumber in the Derby area? Our boiler has packed up and isn't coming on - I know nothing about central heating so need to call out someone urgently - our house is freezing, almost literally!

Derbyshire is quite a large ( and rather hilly ) county. It might help to say exactly where you are and particularly the make and model of your boiler.

In Derby, as stated. A Potterton 50e boiler - quite old I think - 7 or 8 years old probably.

Contact a local gas spares stockists. They usually know who does what and may be able to recommend someone. I'm much further north under a layer of smog so you are way out of my patch. Sorry!
