I want to get a few selection packs of these in various sizes in a case or tray.

Can anyone recommend a supplier of a good selection pack of common metric sizes?

I also use Nameric & have done so for many, many years; always good service & prices.

Define "very good"?

Fair question.

Namrick give excellent service, are knowledgeable and helpful. (I used to live within walking distance and could drop in whenever I needed something.) Their range isn't comprehensive, but they do cover many different thread forms and are especially good for car and bike restorers.

Nowadays I often resort to Ebay for occasional supplies of fasteners.

As a restorer, that's exactly what I use them for. The bulk suppliers are fine for metric, run of the mill hobby fixings but if you want old thread form hex head imperial specialist fixings, Nameric will come up trumps every time.

Ah - OK - I can see that.

I just want a selection of screws, washers and nuts, M2-M6, 5-50mm, to have and to hold for general use. I'd hoped to find or put together an assortment of 6-7000 pieces, but all the sets are either tiny, or £you're-having-a-laugh. Surprisingly the best of the bunch appears to be the one sold by RS Components

I didn't really want to buy every size in quantities of 100, but when you see people charging 3p EACH for screws in smaller quantities, I think I'll just have to get a bigger case to keep them in.

I did originally start out wanting a similar assortment of BA ones, but not really sure why.

Anyway, for those of you into restoration, and trying to find a threaded thing to fit another threaded thing, I hope you'll enjoy the 4th post (Hybrid_From_Hell) here: http://forums.lr4x4.com/lofiversion/index.php/t33110.html

And if any of you know where I can get an M4 to ¼" UNC adapter (F/F or F/M), please let me know.
