Recommend indirect vented hot water cylinder

Your help is much appreciated!

We have just bought an old house (built circa 1930s). My plumber advised us to replace our indirect vented hot water cylinder. He also said that we need size of around 200 litre.

Our water flow rate from the main is very low, around 13lts per minute. Hence also thinking of installing a water pump for our shower on the 2nd floor.

Appreciate if you could recommend good value (also great quality) brand for us for both the water pump and also the indirect vented hot water cylinder.

What sort of heating system is the cylinder being connected to, gravity primaries or fully pumped?

hi, it's currently gravity but we are thinking of fully pumped.

BTW, do you which pump should we get? Appreciate if you could recommend a mid-range good value one. Many thanks!!

Have you checked that the mains feed pipe in the house is not silted/furred up? How far is the first tap (Kitchen tap) from the mains valve?

Watermill, Stuart Turner and Salamander all make decent pumps. So do Bristan and Aqualisa for that matter... The choice is yours!

If you are definitely changing to fully pumped then I would recommend the Fast recovery cylinders. These store less water but produce more eg the 120 litre size is plenty for a 2 bath property.
