Recommendation for Alarm system

Hi Experts

I am looking for alarm system for my house having (preferably Free App mainly to disarm the system if its false alarm from Remote location)

Area needs covering are sensors covering

1 Main Door Sensor
1 Sensor /Shock Sensor for Patio
4 Sensors covering (1 on Landing,1 sensor in Kitchens area,1 for living room ,1 sensor for garage)

1 or 2 Sounders off excellent build quality preferably with blinking LED.

My preference is Wireless as house is new build (But can think of Sounder being Wired if its good to do so rest of all sensors being wireless)



So far i have done some research and found

Visoic PowerMaster 33 or 360R

Or

Texecom (Not sure which model)

Or Pyronix

Which one experts recommend. Please confirm what particular model should i go for?
What will happen and how the APP will respond if some one Cut the landline cable visible outside the property and then try to enter property?How the system will respond?
In the above scenario will you recommend GSM based system?

Visonic ...can’t comment

Texecom ....nice equipment but normally beyond most diyers
Gsm back up only as extra unit
App free at moment

Pyronix .... better for diy,bell can be locally powered ( loft ) gprs unit available for app control ( free for first year as data inc then ? Not sure per year
App £36 per year after year 1

Such a prompt response. Just to update the exact models i am being offered.

For Visonic its Powermaster 33 or Powermaster 360R
For Pyronix its Enforcer V10
For Texecom Which model you recommend ?

As per your recommendation Texecom appears to be the best option to go for. Please let me know which model you recommend of Texecom as per my requirement mentioned above . I will go for GPRS module as backup option as my landline is open & can easily be Cut . Which SIM you recommend for GPRS module. (https://sim4alarms.co.uk) or any other option to go for?How good the Texecom APP is compared to others like Visonic or Pyronix.

Can pyronix be installed as DIY ? I am good in DIY if some proper instruction available. If yes weblink to any such guide available on forum or else where. As the local service provider asking 180£ for App and 1100£ for unit.

Texecom don’t really do gprs ....it’s Text via Gsm unit , SIM card will have to be a 2g sim.....so no 3 network , you will still need a smart com for remote access....it’s not as straightforward as you may think , the gsm unit as back up only is going to cost you £150 plus vat plus sim costs ...

Well alarms are better hardwired without a doubt as it takes away various issues that wireless can have.

Radio jamming, battery replacements, signal strength due to the environment are eliminated with a hard wired system. Just running cables on hard wired systems so they are hidden can be a little more difficult, depending on what access you have from the alarm panel to the wired device for laying the cable.

However when looking at wireless you need to look at the location of the wireless receiver/ panel.
Frequency hopping technology I would say is worth looking at to try and circumvent radio jamming issues, not available on all manufacturers wireless systems.

Texecom keep mentioning a smart com with gprs but not released yet. So it would be a smart com and gsm module for text back ups in the event of an alarm.

Texecom premier elite panels start at a premier 24 and work up to a 640 currently, most domestics would have a Premier Elite 24 hardwired and a 64W wireless as a starting point, but the size is determined by the number of zones you need now and may need in the future.

for example not much point in getting an 8 zone panel like a Veritas if you have 10 zones to wire up, if you have 23 zones to connect up you may want to think about a 48, as the 24 will be close to capacity so future expansion means a panel change.

There are so many pros and cons on various systems, you have to look at what you want the system to do versus what you must have.

Thanks for the response. What are your comments about Visonic Powermaster 33 or 360r? Are they any good? As they offer Free app and have GSM capability with wide range of accessories? My question is how good they are technically ? are they better then Pyronix Enforcer V10 or Texecom?

Don't fit Visonic, they aren't my panel of choice, but that probably goes back to the way the wireless used to work rather than the latest offerings and the keypad was only built into the panel and I prefer separate keypads to the panels.

Your unlikely to find someone that installs all the models and familiar with all there quirks to advise you on them all fairly.

There's also the Honeywell Flex V3 (FX100+ top panel). The panel does Ethernet, GPRS and GSM. Wired and wireless devices. Secure app and secure comm's. Expert support available via this forum.

Quite good value at £330 for a panel with Ethernet, GSM/GPRS, Wireless Portal and MK7 keypad.

Visonic Powermaster is a great bit of kit, uses 2 Way technology that channel hops to avoid interference and has a superior range to Pyronix. The KP250 keypad is really nice keypad. You will find most peoples negative feedback is based on the one way tech of Powermax like Secur I am says. Pyronix is more popular because its starting price is on the money but for functionality and look the 33 is great. The 360 R is an alternative with GPRS and Lan built in but it has a plug unit on that puts some people of and wont work with KP250. There is a free app facility but for me its worth paying a little money if you feel the support in the long term is worthwhile. GPRS will function if line is cut but you will need a GPRs sim card so this is an ongoing cost anyway what ever system you get. You can also get Camera Pir sensors for an affordable cost so you can see why the alarm has gone off on your app.
