Hello!

I've recently had some work done in my kitchen with a local handyman service in Birmingham. While he was completing the work, he recommended that I change my dishwasher as it wasn't eco-friendly.

I normally wouldn't take this into account, but I should start being a bit more energy efficient, can I ask for people's opinions of energy efficient Dishwashers?

Thanks in advance!

Invariably a complete waste of time and money. Having said that if your dishwasher isn't "eco friendly" then it will be old and, perhaps, due for a change out anyway.

If it is in working order then it I would not change it because it is not eco friendly to throw out something that works for the promise of being better.
Some of the latest eco friendly dishwashers mean 3 hour cycles with wet dishes at the end.

I've had this thing for as long as I can remember, so I think it's time for a change!

I found this one recently https://www.buyhomeappliance.co.uk/...tb6m19-10-place-built-in-dishwasher-a-s-steel that has a good Energy rating and Annual energy consumption, so I think this will be good upgrade for me

I'm assuming because of the good rating and energy consumption that it's better for the environment? If not what would you suggest instead?

You need to do your own research and see how much you'd save v waiting for it to fail

When the car scrappage thing came in, somebody pointed out that a car used 30% of the energy that it would ever use in it's manufacture-

So if it is there already, wait for it to die
