RedRing Plus 8S Shower (Please help)

Hi,
I wondered if anyone could help me. I have a RedRing Plus 8S shower. It has been working fine, up until recently where it just pumps out cold water and slightly luke warm water if I change the temperature setting knob to max (setting.

I did go in a bit of a mood one day and bang the side. When I did this, the shower started giving out full on heat as normal!

So other than keeping banging it with my hand a few times, every time I want a shower, is there anything I can do? Would anyone know if it is just a specific part that may have died?

if it works when you bang it, it could point to loose connection so is you switch off breaker and pull cord you could open shower and check the connections are tight

Thanks for that. I did try that but did not see anything loose. Worrying.

yes but with mains off, did you try to tighten connections?

I tried with the mains off, I looked around, but did not see anything loose.

I will try again. Maybe I have missed something.
