Hello, am planning to have our back door replaced with double french doors.
Am wondering whether it is practical to have a row of bricks removed so that the door threshold is lower, to reduce the height of the step out into the garden. Have attached a picture.
Concern is whether this makes the project massively more expensive / complicated. Best quote I've had for a new french door so far is £1200.
The row of bricks under the current door is right on top of the DPC. Is it a problem if is damaged when the bricks are removed? I presume not as the french doors will have PVC frame.
Thanks for any tips
