It's a Grant Vortex Pro Utility boiler, with a Reillo RDB burner......

Seems odd that it's only held into combustion chamber with one bolt at top?

Presume there's supposed to be a gasket on flange? All a bit shoddy in my view!

My 19 year old Riello G5X is the same, there is a gasket between the boiler and the flange that the burner sits in (with one bolt) but none otherwise but it does have a "conical" seat and I don't see any sign of blow past on my yearly clean out.

Yep, the flange gasket is the important one - but you can get gaskets that you can slip over the blast tube.
One or two screw fitment is the norm, and seems to give no problems.

Well I can assure you your view is totally and utterly wrong.
The number of riello burners I've fitted is well into 4 figures not the odd one your doing!

I just meant that having only one retaining bolt seemed a bit odd. I'm completely unfamiliar with these boilers.
