I'm at the 'no going back stage' of a bathroom strip out at home, and we have decided on a showerbath, probably L-shaped. Having had a cheap one from the big orange shed in the past that cracked within months, I want a decent one!!

I am looking at the reinforced one's, but apart from Carronite, Idealcast and Trojancast, it's hard to tell if a bath is as good as these three claim to be. I've seen one online that claims to be reinforced made from lucite, but, is that the same as the above?

In summary, I want an acrylic bath that doesn't flex!

Any advice/opinions??

Plumbase's Suregraft cast baths are very good and come with a 30-year warranty

We've just bought a 1700mm Carronite shower bath Quantum. Prices vary so look around, I reckon I got it as cheap as anywhere. Bloody heavy thing and very very solid and well worth the money IMO. Be aware that there is a difference between a Carron bath and a Carronite bath (both made by the same people) I also looked at Pura (didnt like the plughole in the middle) . Island Bathrooms Bournmouth way sell these badged as Armour Cast and they have a good deal on at the moment.....
