Remote control switch/light switch

Hi,

I'm looking for something that I can use to turn the garden lights on, they take their power from the garage, but I would like to be able to turn them on without leaving the house for security - e.g. if I suspected someone was in the garden. Ideally I would to have a switch upstairs in the bedroom and another downstairs, has anyone put anything like this in?

The garden is quite long and the garage is 20m from the house, so it would be a remote activation of the lights from 2 places in the house.

Any advice appreciated.

Hi, no as I want the ability to turn them on myself, already have security lights, but want to be able to light the place up if I want to, to be used on dark evening for family events also to light up the patio area etc, so would to add to existing lighting.

No, to be clear I want a remote - either built into a switch or a fob type device.

Hi, yes, that looks like a contender, thought they would be cheaper than that though - tempted to try a remote plug adaptor - I've seen the whole set up for £15 in aldi. Not sure if it would work 20+ meters away.

While I am normally not in favour of wireless ( in situations where wires can be installed ) I have used this

as a lamp controller in the detached garage at my daughters house for a garden light fitted to the outside of the garage. It enables the light to be controlled from the garage

Then this

Do you spend a lot of time sat by the window in the dark, watching for intruders?

The sort of lighting you want for lighting up the garden to make intruders visible is really unpleasant for leisure use of the garden.
