Hi have a victorian upper floor flat and i would like to expose the floor boards However in 2 of the rooms under the carpet i have found a hearth.I would therefore like to remove these and extend the wooden floor.Is it just a case of knocking out the concrete hearth under which i will find floor joints to fix the boards?Any advice would be great.John
