we have a solid wood floor in our new house which is lovely but we need to remove it to move radiators and make a hole in a wall between 2 rooms and fit double doors.
How can i tell if the floor is secretly nailed, stuck down or clipped together without disturbing it? can it actually be removed and refitted? and if not can anyone suggest how we fill in the gap between the rooms once the wall is down with the same wood?

Remove skirtingboards and try to lift last row of boards to figure out how it was installed - you'll damage most of the T&G no matter how it was installed, so very little chance to re-use it.
When you have determined how many rows of floorboards needs removing for the works to be carried out, use a plunge saw to saw in between two boards (between the last one that has to be removed and the first one that stays down)
