Hi

In the process of doing our bathroom and made the mistake of painting (with bathroom emulsion) where we are to tile.

I have done the tape test and put some masking tape on the paint, left it on overnight and it's pulled the paint off when removing the tape.

So, I need to remove the paint before I can tile.

I have tried scraping, some comes off easily, most not. I have tried sanding with course sandpaper, that doesn't seem to do anything.

Any ideas?

What comes off easily with scraping would easily pull the tiles off - if it's hard to scrape off, that surely makes it a suitable substrate for tiling...

You would think so yes, that the hard to get off paint would be suitable.
Ideally to be sure I would like to get most of the paint off
