Hi

I'm looking for some help on the best way to remove my floor boards without damaging them so I can replace them afterwards.

It's a relatively new house with plasterboard walls and the floor is slabs of chipboard nailed into the joists.

I want to remove a small area of floor in our 1st-floor bedroom so I can route some cable from the loft down to the ground floor.

Is there a way to do this without causing damage?

I've drilled a few small pilot holes to check what's under the floor and it would appear to be a void - i was able to stick a flexi-rod through the hole and contact the plasterboard ceiling below.

Cheers for any help!

If you've got a hole=saw, you could take one of the smaller blades and then make a cut around each nail head and then lift the panel.

Will probably need to cut a tounge or two as well if you can't lift it easily.
