Hi All

Any suggestions on removing this post with minimal effort & damage to the drive? I can't just cut it off as I need to fill the hole and tarmac over.

If I could persuade a friendly HIAB driver next time I get a delivery, do you think their 1 tonne crane thing would pull it out?

If you pull it out you will crater the tarmac

It's possible to cut them off flush and burn the stump.

I once used a very large drill in a broken post, thinking to break it up. The heat dried it and it shrank enough to loosen and pull out.

Remove the fence parts and dig a little around the base, use the post as a lever to wiggle it.
You can fix a post near the ground horizontally and use a car Jack to lift it.
