Hi,

i've recently removed some tiles from our downstairs loo (around the basin) and I need to repair the wall so I can lay some new mosaic tiles (only 4) - i was looking at basic ready mixed tubs of plaster repair that b&q do but is this the best way to approach a fix like this?

any advice appreciated!

The ready mixed plaster repair will do fine for this - the work isn't too deep so give it time to dry thoroughly. Get rid of any more loose bits, and lumps standing proud first.
You'll be able to get an acceptable finish by using a straight edge which is longer than the span of the repair.
If it's bumpy, the new plaster can be sanded to flatten it off.
John ( worlds worst plasterer :p )

I would just make sure there was no loose stuff then skim it over with tile adhesive let it go off then tile on top of that,, Simples ;)
