removed overflow leaves hole is roof! What now?

I got a gas combi installed so hw exp tank is gone! good Riddens too. However i now have just the exp overflow pipe dangling in mid air.

It is just a bent 15mm copper pipe that goes out through a hole cut in one of the roof tiles of my pitched roof. it has a good load of mastic round it. When i yank it out what should i do? it is mid roof so could i just fire a bit of flashing over it, tacked into place?

I know it sounds lazy but has anyone any great ideas how i could sort this out from inside the loft? i would need to borrow a roof ladder otherwise.

if you've got a ladder just replace the tile with a new one.
