Having removed polystyrene tiles from our bedroom ceiling it is a mess. Is it best to replaster or replace with plasterbord. It is an old property with coving.
A skim is your best bet Mary, if you want to preserve the coving, even if you replace the boards a skim will be needed. Dependant on the extent of the ceiling damage, if it's just aesthetic, then a skim will sort it.
