Removing a 03 VW Golf rear door

HI all,

I need to remove the rear door of the above car.

looking at the hinge setup, there seems to be two waya to takle this.

Either remove the bolt type thing from the middle of the hinge, or remove the hinge from the door itself. WHats the best way to do this, and do i need any special type tools. I have quite a large tool kit, so should have something to do it with

without a door pin remover, id take the hinge bolts out

Is that done just by way of that alan key type head I can see, although it has more sides, if that makes sense ie the one where the door hinge attaches onto the door itself?

yeah, theyre either torx or star bolts on the newer ones.
