Hi
Looking to remove a small radiator in our kitchen permanently. Is this easy enough to do as a DIY job or am I better off getting the pros in? I know that draining it and removing for decorating, with the intention of putting it back is pretty straight forward, but what would i need to do to cap it off permanently without still having the two pipes still sticking out from the wall.
Cheers

should not be too difficult

shut off both rad valves, drain rad, remove rad and get some caps to put over the raed valves.

be worth leaving them as you never know you might be a bit taters in the winter and would like it back again

:)

Depends on wether or not you want to leave the pipework there !!

Is the pipework surface mounted ? Does it drop down the wall or come up from under the floor ?

You can easily turn off the rad valves, drain the rad and then remove it leaving the pipework in place

Thanks
Ideally, i would not like anything to be left coming out from the wall. i'm not bothered if the pipes remain behind the wall - i guess my question is therefore can they be capped of within the wall? they are coming down the wall from upstairs.
