One of my window handles is a bit wobbly, so I removed the screw cover and found the screw head was snapped off. The small piece of thread attached is only 2mm diameter. What's the best way to get the remaining thread out of the wooden frame and repair any damage? If it's drilling then what type and size bit?

If you have a soldering iron or similar tool, you can apply it to the screw until it starts to smoke. This will loosen the screw so it is easier to get out.
If the old screw hole is damaged, you can drill it out and glue in a piece of wooden dowel, which you can later drill and screw into.
