Removing candle wax

My conservatory shelves have been left with a red stain from candle wax. I have scraped off the surface wax but the plastic has been stained orange. I was told to try iodine but that has not made any difference. Can anyone make any suggestions.

Try using an iron on brown paper, the paper should soak up any wax

The brown paper takes the heat..KEEP THE IRON MOVING, & dont leave it on to long

Hmmmmmm......obviously the sort of person who shouts 'your not putting that on upside down are you?' when your up a ladder painting.
