Hey,
I’d like to remove a ceiling pendant light as we no longer require it in the room. I do want to keep the rose for future tenants thoughts.

Is it as simple as removing the blue/brown wires and leaving the the rest as it is? Or do I need to do something else with the rose?

No thats it, Disconnect the brown and blue of the flex and remove it and refit the plastic cover on the rose. If you want to be super nice to anyone comming after you, then take the black strain relief clip off the flex and leave it on the inside of the rose cover before putting it back
