Can anyone recommend a way to remove the cork floor tiles in my bathroom? They seem a bit fiddly and at the minute, are only coming away in small pieces. I have a steamer that I could use but I can't see how the steam will get through to the adhesive. I don't need the adhesive to be completely removed as I'm going to play a plywood floor over the boards in preparation for some new vinyl floor tiles.

I got a bit lucky. The tiles were laid on a flimsy wood base (don't know what type of wood, same stuff you get for the back of wardrobes in flat-packs). I managed to find the edge of the floor panels and just ripped that up and only had to remove small sections of tile.
