Removing door on a Whirlpool Generation 2000+ dishwasher?

In my house we have a old Whirlpool Generation 2000+ dishwasher which needs a new bottom seal as it is leaking and the seal has gone past it's best.

To replace the seal (assuming I can get one), It seems like I need to remove the main door, but don't know how to do it properly. I tried, but failed over the spring loaded hinge mechanism.

Any ideas how I would install a new bottom seal?

Usually remove, though not applicable to all makes:
Lid and side panels
Front bottom plinth cover and plinth
Front door panel and control fascia + pcb board
Disconnect door hinge cables
Remove door

Now you can replace the door bottom seal!.
