Removing excess cement from Sandstone.

Hello all,
Just had a Sandstone patio laid. The grouting was a little excessive in a few places and there is a very thin film/layer of cement on a few edges of the slabs. Is there any easy way of removing it or is just a case of using a very stiff brush?

don't be tempted to use mortar acid, the best way is often to rub it with an offcut of the same material, in your case a piece of sandstone
