Hi I'm going to remove the plastic trim on the tailgate of a red Fiesta MK7 so it can be repainted as it is flaking big time and looks awful. This is the plastic section above the rear numberplate and rear window. Ive seen a video of removing the black trim on the inside of the window and unbolting it from within. My question is, if I remove this for a couple of days to repaint, can the car remain a) secure and b) drivable?
