I purchased a glazed interior door today with a frosted glass effect on it - similar to the one in the picture below:

Just wondering if anybody knows of anyway of removing the frost effect so that it is just plain, transparent glass with no effect on it? Is there any sort of remover you can purchase?

looks etched to me !!!!!

this effect is often achieved by sand blasting or etching which is basicly using chemicals to eat away and covering the area with tiny pits !!!
if this is the case i think new glass is the only option

The problem with these type of doors, you cannot get the glass out as they have no beading :!: Although it can be done if you know how to ;)

The actual shape of the door and glass is as below:

It does look like there is beading around it.

How much would I be looking for for replacement glass roughly? Just plain glass will suffice? Is it easy to replace?

Also, if I were to put a frosted glass spray on the window, would it look really bad?
