Hi guys,
I have recently cut down a load of ivy that was growing at both the front and rear of of our house.

No I have a problem in removing the little tentacles that were left behind. I can remove them from the window ledges by using some warm soapy water and a sponge (with lots of elbow grease!).

But does anyone have a solution for removing the tentacles from the brick work? I have tried a metal scraper and just a regular kitchen scourer but both tend to mark the bricks.

Any info would be great!

Thanks

Damage.

If you leave them for a while to die and go brown they will pull off more easily.

Perhaps it's a male ivy. You can tell because the tenticles are hairy.

It`s not a testicle job if you leave them to wither ....sorry technical
