removing marks from window

hi - after someone smashed my drivers side window, i ve just had a second hand genuine fitted...all is fine, iv ecleaned it as much as possible, with, soapy water, with fairy liquid, car wax/shine mixed with water, ive scrubbed it as much as i can but there are a few marks in the centre of the glass that i just cannot get rid of , they look like dark grease marks, they just wont come out...any ideas what i can do to get them out...its a bit annoying when im looking right and see these marks..

Can either try petrol or panelwipe on a rag or if you can get hold of spray gun cleaner use that but with the later do not get any on your paint because it will instantly attack it.

Try cleaning the glass from the inside.

There is a chance that a sticker was applied at some time that used an adhesive that has etched into the glass.....does this deposit scrape off with a finger nail?

ive tried scrapeing it with my finger nail, just doesnt come out, and no its not on the inside...lol,...will try petrol or thinners etc...if not, ill ask the autoglass bloke who im gonna fone to come and fix a chip on my windscreen, sfter all its free with a fully comp insurance policy...lol...see if can remove it or advise me on how to..

bloke at autoglass says he cant do anything as they are scuff marks on the glass...cannot get them out..best thing is to replace glass..
