Removing Masking Tape from Window

Ive used masking tape to paint my windows. Ive had no issues but on the last window the tape has stuck to the glass. Whats the best way to get it off?

Ive tried Glass cleaner, WD-40, and White spirit. Nothings worked. The glue seems to have gone rock solid.

Try lighter fluid. Zippo/swan

If its been on there a while it will have gone hard. when it happened to me, painting a coach line on my boat which took way way longer than I thought it would, the only way I could remove was by scraping it off. You can imagine the mess that made. You are lucky your masking tape is on glass. Shoiuld be easy to scrape off.

Try a glass scraper. Soften up.the adhesivè with lighter fluid

Brillo pad has always worked for me.

I did this many years ago, took me ages and ages to remove the damn stuff.

Got any uPVC cleaner, that works.

In future use the blue UV "safe" masking tape. Standard masking tape can go rock hard in a couple of days in the height of summer.

blue = 6.23 a roll.
ordinary = 50p a roll.

The choice is not hard for me....
