removing mortar from new wall

hi folks i have just build a wall out of blue and red brick however when building it i have got a thin coat of mortar over the face of the bricks when i have built the wall.

what's the best way to remove it and clean the bricks.

Brick/patio cleaner. Available in most DIY places. It's hydrochloric acid based so go careful and wear the proper PPE. Give it a thorough rinse with water afterwards. Might take a couple of goes on thicker bits.
