I need to clean moss from the jointing compound between a large area of paving which is comprised of various sized slabs so there aren't long straight runs of joints.
I've removed some moss with a stiff brush but it would be hard work to do it all manually. I'm thinking about an electric joint cleaner but the illustrations of use I've seen show them being used where there's no jointing compound between the slabs. I'm concerned the machine may be too powerful and may rip out the jointing compound.
The machines appear to come with a wire and a nylon brush so maybe the nylon wouldn't be too aggressive?
I do have a pressure washer I could use but when I used it at a previous property it ripped out the mortar, which, to be fair, was poorly applied to a pretty rubbish paving job. The paving I have now has jointing compound which appears to be much stronger than mortar?
Has anyone experience of using one of these machines on jointing compound between slabs?
Any advice appreciated.
