Hi All

I've just lifted a lot of cracked tiles from a kitchen floor and am now left with the remnants of grout, i was wondering if there was a chemical or tool i could use to remove the old grout. Slightly concerned about damaging the bitumen floor underneath so want to avoid any high impact solutions as i am perhaps a little heavy handed and don't want to crack it.

Any ideas or possible routes to try???

Cheers
Lee

Grout isn't usually a problem. Do you mean adhesive?

Yep i did mean adhesive.......

It was early i was tired and and and well no other excuses really, jsut that i happened to be looking at a tube of adhesive and grout rubbish at the time.

In that case the only chemical that will work is elbow grease.

But you could use an SDS drill on rotation stop.

Cant do without my trusted Fein machine it takes grout out of joints at 1mm thick without chipping tiles, you can also use the rasp attachment to take off adhesive, you can even buy a diamond head and remove epoxy grout ;)

Yep you're right - apologies mountford. Jetlag f**kin with me. ;)

I went to Canada July just for a long weekend, hardly slept when there, came home, did the garden, played golf, next day went to work. I can handle jet lagg (just keep busy, & get to YOUR time).
Got another Wedding May 2008, but going for 5 days this time.
