Hi,
I have just lifted the 1970's tiles from my bathroom floor. The tiles came up very easily, but I am left with patches of what I can only describe as a cement-type adhesive which I am trying to chisel off the floorboards. As far as I know the floorboards are oak, and the tiles have been laid directly onto them.
Has anyone got any ideas of an easier way I can get the cement off the floor? My arms are aching and I have only got a bit about 30cm square clear!
Oh, and to add to the problem I live in France, so tool hire is just about out of the question - besides I would like to get it done today before my other half gets back from a visit to the UK.
Chris
