removing rear fan from a hotpoint cdt00p dryer

I need to replace the rear spindle on my hotpoint cdt00p dryer. I think i can doit without removing the drum if i can move the back panel back, there appears enough room to fit the new one, the proble is the fan at the bottom left side is stopping the panel rom being removed. Does anyone know how the fan come off, does it just pull off, ie can i put a screwdriver behind it and lever it off the motor spindle or is their a special way of removing it. I dont want to damage it and have an even bigger job

The spindle is on the motor but if you want to replace the fan just remove the rear banjo panel and remove the clip on the fan useing pliers and pull fan off,spindle stays on the motor.

Do you mean the drum shaft needs replacing???

yes the rear drum shaft needs replacing, will check and look for clip holding fan on
