Hi,

Can anyone recommend a good tool for removing Rehau beading?

I have seen a number of examples with people using all manner of different tools but the gap between the beading and frame is so small, I was beginning to think they it was all one piece!!

I have one of these which some people in the examples used:

but the scraper edge is still quite think (about 1mm) but it seems too thick to get in the gap.

Some have recommended a Don Carlos moon knife but some of the websites supplying these say they are not designed for bead removal.

Whatever tool I need, I'm just concerned about mangling the frame or the bead.

Are there any window fitters here who can recommend any particular tool or advice regarding not wrecking a frame when removing the bead?

Thanks

We use a very similiar tool to your picture tbh. You could also use a stiff paint scraper

Thanks ronniecabers. I'll give that a go. Just a but paranoid about damaging the plastic since the scraper end is rather thick and the gap around the bead us non existent!!
